Certified Transmission has been serving the Omaha, Council Bluffs, Lincoln and Kansas City Metropolitan area since 1979. Commitment to upholding its motto

and operating in accordance with "The Golden Rule" has earned Certified a reputation for honesty and integrity and has led it to becoming one of the largest suppliers of remanufactured transmissions in the Country.

Peter Fink opened Certified Transmission in 1979 in an abandoned 2 bay gas station in Omaha with $1000 and his tool box. Since that time Certified Transmission has grown into one of the largest independent remanufactured transmissions repair and remanufacturing facilities in the country. Certified Transmission has 13 of its own retail stores in 4 states in addition to shipping transmissions to customers nationwide. Certified has two state-of-the-art remanufacturing plants. The Omaha plant has over 106,000 square feet (almost three acres under one roof). The Fort Dodge facility has an additional 40,000 square feet.

Combining all the facilities, Certified Transmission totals more than 300 employees. Certified's dedication to remanufacturing the highest quality product teamed up with outstanding customer service has lead to national recognition. We've also won some prestigious awards not normally associated with the automotive repair industry, including the Better Business Bureau National Torch Award for Market Place Ethics presented in Washington D.C.

This continual growth and recognition Certified Transmission has received over the years by various entities is a clear demonstration of Certified Transmission's business development, stability and leadership philosophy is guided by "The Golden Rule; Treat Others As You Want To Be Treated."

Certified Transmission not only strives to assure that its customers are treated with respect but also to give back to the community which has been so supportive of its operations. Certified Transmission has provided its support to various high schools in the community, Heartland Family Services and has also worked with Community Alliance, Teen Challenge and other such organizations in an effort to help those who have encountered some type of problem or hardship in their lives to re-enter the workforce and obtain gainful and productive employment.

Additionally, Peter Fink serves on various committees and boards for entities such as Heartland Better Business Bureau, Metropolitan Community College, Mayor's Round Table Discussions, and Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association in an attempt to help promote and encourage the practice of good business ethics in the community by spreading the message that it is honest and reliable service that is the corner stone of building a successful business.
