Lemon Bite Challenge Fights Pediatric Cancer

Peter Fink, founder and president of Certified Transmission, helped take a bite out of pediatric cancer by participating in the Lemon Bite Challenge. By biting into a fresh lemon and challenging all his employees to do the same, Peter initiated Certified's contribution to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), the Pennsylvania-based nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer.

Peter accepted the challenge of friend Tim Harrison, who posted a video of himself biting into a lemon just days before.

A video posted on Wednesday shows Peter biting into a lemon standing alongside his daughter, Amanda, who vowed to share a video of herself also participating in the fundraiser. Peter Fink also pledged to donate $10 for each of his more than 400 employees who posted videos of themselves biting into lemons.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation shares the vision of its founder and creator, Alexandra "Alex" Scott, who was diagnosed with cancer just before her first birthday. Just before she turned four, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front-yard lemonade stand to raise money for a cure and raised an astonishing $2,000 in one day.
